| WELCOME, dear visitors from anywhere in the world, to our nice parish of St. Michael the Archangel. This is a very active Catholic community in the heart of the City of Miami. At this time over 3000 families, mostly Hispanic, are registered in the Parish Census, under the pastoral care of three priests. We have a Parochial School with 600 students, academically directed by Sisters of the Apostolate, and a Catechism program with another 700 boys and girls. Other catechetical ministries for adults as well as the many groups of the Parish mentioned in these pages, share the common mission of bringing the Gospel to the diverse membership of the parish. As a Parish community, we are called to be the lovely flock of the Good Shepherd Jesus, as a real family, whose members relate and share in a warm, personal way, not falling into an anonymous, bureaucratic group like one more secular structure. Reflecting the image of the whole Church, we ask that the Church of St. Michael's will be known as a live community of love. Welcome! Rev. Jose M. Paz
