Baptism is the first encounter for us with God. It is a Sacrament instituted by Our Lord Jesus Christ which cleans us from original sin and any other sin committed. It is the new birth for a supernatural life, which makes us special sons and daughters of God, active members of the Church, brothers and sisters of Christ and of the other Christians and heirs of Heaven. It is the door and the foundation of all the other Sacraments. Applications for Baptism must be completed in the parish office at least six (6) weeks before the Baptism. Parents and Godparents must receive instructions on Baptism and Christian Life. NORMS
